Job summary

Volvo Group in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector I to ensure product quality prior to shipment. You will perform detailed inspections, document defects, and collaborate with cross- functional teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes use of precision measurement tools, adherence to safety guidelines, and mentoring technicians to maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Internal Assembler II Pathway completed.
• Familiarity with Android fundamentals.
• Use of measurement tools including calipers and rulers (imperial & metric).
• Proficiency in a minimum of 60% of the production jobs in their specified production area.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of product features.
• Document defects and non-conformances and report them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution and continuous improvement.
• Use calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, torque wrenches and other precision tools to verify tolerances.
• Mentor technicians and support training to develop skills.
