Job summary

KIHOMAC, Inc. in Byron, GA seeks a Quality Inspector to verify shop travelers, measure parts, and ensure conformance to blueprints using CMM, Faro Arms, and traditional tools.

You will conduct first article, in-process and final inspections, prepare Certificates of Conformance, review certifications, and support engineering on nonconformances per AS9102 guidelines. Candidates with aerospace experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of professional quality inspection experience.
• Experience with aerospace specifications and drawings preferred.
• AS9102 documentation knowledge is a plus.
• Citizenship or security clearance eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review shop travelers for accuracy and completeness.
• Use micrometers, calipers and indicators to verify parts to blueprints.
• Inspect tooling, first article and production parts with CMM and Faro Arms.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with GD&T discipline.
• Create Certificates of Conformance and data packets for inspections.
• Conduct First Article Inspections using AS9102 forms.
• Interface with engineering and customers on nonconformances; support NC disposition.

Description

Review shop Travelers for accuracy and completeness

• Use standard measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.) to evaluate sheet metal and machined components to blueprint requirements.


• Use CMM, Faro Arms and other inspection tools and methods to inspect tooling, first article and production parts


• Conduct In-Process, and Final inspections. Highly skilled in inspecting to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance


• Conduct Receiving inspection/verification of product and related certifications * Review certification documents and records required to create a Certificate of Conformance


• Create end item data packets such as Certificates of Conformance, Indented Parts List and Configuration summary for internal and external inspections


• Conduct First Article Inspections using AS9102 Forms and documentation


• Complete customer Source Inspections for detail parts and assemblies * Verify and control non-conforming product, releasing products, or scrapping them per MRB disposition part of control of NC process)


• Interface with program engineering and customers on nonconformances * Provide Quality/Inspection verification support to Manufacturing and Engineering personnel


• Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: * High School diploma or equivalent required


• ASQ certifications preferred (Quality Inspector, Six Sigma)

Experience

2+ years of professional experience in the required task area required * Experience working with aerospace specifications and drawings preferred

• Experience using Number/Bubble Drawings to create Inspection Reports preferred


• Composite and Metals experience preferred Security: * Must be a US citizen * Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements: * Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery


• Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls


• Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements


• Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
