Job summary

BRINC is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure our drone products meet rigorous standards for life-saving missions. You will perform in-process and final inspections, read drawings, and collaborate with Quality, Test, and Design Engineering to identify critical characteristics.

You will document non-conformances, help contain suspect material, and develop SOPs for ongoing inspection tasks. The role requires experience with calibrated tools and RCCA in a fast-paced aerospace environment in

Qualifications

• 2+ Years as a technician in the aerospace, defence or medical industry
• 2+ years of experience reading/interpreting work instructions, engineering drawings, and/or inspection plans
• 2+ years of experience using hand tools
• 2+ years of experience using calibrated tools, i.e. height gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.
• 2+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Responsibilities

• Use metrology equipment to ensure product performance for highly-complex hardware, including PCBAs, optics, harnessing, soldering, mechanical fastening, adhesives, etc.
• Report non-conformances when defective material is found and establish a process for containing all suspect material.
• Read/interpret work instructions and drawings to define and perform quality inspections.
• Perform critical in-process and final inspections for assembled products and subassemblies, including optics, PCBAs, precision machined components, and composite components.
• Develop SOPs for other inspectors (or technicians) to follow for day-to-day tasks.
• Support Material Review Board discussions to determine product dispositions for nonconforming material.
• Partner with manufacturing technicians to implement sustainable corrective actions when defects are root caused..
