Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Inspector II who performs visual, surface plate layout, verifies outside processes, in-process, and final inspection of manufactured, purchased, and assembled items, units or systems, including packaging, packing, and marking of units prior to shipment in accordance with drawings, plans, purchase orders, and customer requirements. You should be a self-starter with the ability to handle increasing responsibilities and multiple tasks, demonstrating attention to quality, detail, and accuracy.

Key Performance Deliverables:

1. Perform visual inspections, surface plate layouts, verify outside processes, in-process and final inspections of items and systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
2. Complete inspection documentation, including work orders, AS9102 1st Article reports, test records, logs, rejection reports, and input quality data into ERP systems.
3. Utilize standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.); experience with CMMs is desirable but not mandatory.
4. Read and interpret purchase orders, contracts, drawings, industry standards, and specifications; ensure compliance with customer requirements.
5. Perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and apply GD&T principles.
6. Conduct inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify quality standards.
7. Maintain accurate records of inspection results and test data.
8. Communicate inspection outcomes to relevant personnel and departments.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential process enhancements and providing recommendations.
10. Participate in training programs to develop inspection skills and knowledge of quality control and industry regulations.
11. Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar inspection role.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Experience in guiding and training junior inspectors is a plus.
