Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 3rd shift at our Savanna, Illinois facility. You will inspect materials, components, and finished products, document results, and help ensure they meet established quality and reliability standards.

Responsibilities include first-piece inspections, using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and maintaining records. A high level of attention to detail and collaboration with teams are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • No formal education credential is required.
  • Zero to two years of experience.
  • Ability to interpret and follow detailed work instructions and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects, deviations, and nonconformities.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills for documenting results and reporting quality concerns.
  • Basic math skills for working with measurements, dimensions, tolerances, and statistical data.
  • Basic knowledge of quality-control tools and measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Basic computer skills for entering data and preparing inspection reports.
  • Ability to collaborate with inspectors, production employees, and supervisors while contributing to solutions that improve product quality.

Job Summary MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Quality Inspector for 3rd Shift at our Savanna, Illinois manufacturing facility. You will inspect materials, components, and finished products, document results, and help ensure they meet established quality and reliability standards.

  • Work Arrangement: On-site
  • Schedule: 3rd Shift
  • Pay: $18-$22 per hour
  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
What You'll Do as a Quality Inspector

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves working in a manufacturing inspection and production environment, inspecting materials and products at different stages of the production process and using precision measuring instruments.
