Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Quality Sorter for our Farmington Hills, Michigan facility. You will inspect, sort, and package fastener products to meet customer specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and daily production targets.

The role is on-site with a 1st shift: 7 AM to 3 PM. Pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Employment is full-time and hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail; perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Identify problems and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and manually sort fastener products according to specifications.
• Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts.
• Take basic measurements using gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Follow standardized work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Package and label products per requirements.
• Record inspection and production information accurately.
• Communicate quality concerns and support corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What You'll Do as a Quality Sorter

• Inspect and manually sort fastener products according to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts.
• Take basic measurements using gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Follow standardized work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Package and label products according to requirements.
• Accurately record inspection and production information.
