Job summary

HuFriedyGroup is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 3rd shift in Northbrook, IL. The role focuses on ensuring quality through incoming, in-process, and final inspections, with established documentation and data entry requirements.

The candidate should have 1–2 years in manufacturing or quality settings, be able to read blueprints, and possess solid communication and problem-solving skills. CNC experience is preferred for this role as part of a broader quality team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform component and assembly incoming, in-process, and final inspections using blueprints and inspection measurement equipment.
• Identify, segregate and document rejected components and materials.
• Participate on a Material Review Board to review and process non-conformance reports.
• Enter and retrieve inspection and NC data from local and global systems.
• Review related Quality documentation such as DHRs or calibration records.
• Support local problem solving activities and may identify opportunities for improvement.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for assisting in administration of the quality functions to assure adherence to quality standards and other applicable regulatory standards. Quality Inspectors support manufacturing and servicing operations by performing incoming component and in-process product inspections using standard measurement equipment. They identify, segregate and document rejected material and participate in Material Review Boards to ensure the proper documentation and disposition.

Required Experience

• 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and or Quality experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to generate detailed, high-quality documentation
• Ability to work with others in analyzing and solving technical problems.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret written instructions
• Good communication skills (Written and verbal) when working with others
• CNC experience preferred. Candidates with prior CNC machine operation, setup, machining, or precision manufacturing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
