As a Quality Inspector III, you will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction by performing advanced inspections, identifying and resolving quality issues, and supporting compliance with industry standards. The Quality Inspector III role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products, components, and processes meet established quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. Your expertise in inspection methodologies, root cause analysis, and quality systems will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
Perform advanced inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality control plans. Utilize precision measuring equipment including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), optical comparators, and advanced gauging instruments to verify product dimensions and characteristics. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T requirements, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections while ensuring adherence to Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements. Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials and products, initiating corrective action requests and disposition processes as required. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns. Conduct root cause analysis and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Assist in training and mentoring less experienced inspectors on inspection techniques, equipment, and procedures. Support internal and external quality audits by providing documentation and inspection records. Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance documentation. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in electronics, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated industries preferred. Experience performing First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspections. Experience using advanced inspection and metrology equipment, including CMMs.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Expertise operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or ISO 13485. Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
