Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking an Inspector for the Wixom, MI facility to enter orders, inspect products, and ensure quality before shipment. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and timely communication with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting products, documenting coatings with XRF equipment, packing parts for shipping, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Lift up to 44 lbs and work hands-on with products.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
• 1
• Inspect the finished product.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
• Act as a member of the monthly 'Quality Council'.
• Visual inspection of tools for proper coating.
• Post quantities being shipped into the computer system.
• Pack customer parts for shipping.
• Use XRF equipment to document coating thickness.
• Use various shipping software.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribes safety regulations.
• Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
