Job summary

• Read and interpret planning documents, blueprints, specifications and quality procedures to produce clear inspection records.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma is required; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Position Summary

Responsible for visually and functionally inspecting aircraft parts during all phases of procesing.

• Responsibilities
  • Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
  • Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
  • Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
  • Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
  • Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
  • Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
  • Conduct internal audits as required
  • Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
• Qualifications
  • Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
