Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in Michigan seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to operate and program CMMs and perform dimensional inspections on precision parts. You will interpret drawings and CAD models and ensure parts meet customer criteria.

Responsibilities include receiving inspection, nonconformance handling, and collaborating with production to resolve quality issues; strong math, measurement tools, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Quality experience in aerospace or general manufacturing environment with knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100 is a plus.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations for dimensional measurements.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.

• Use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models to perform accurate measurements.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
