Qualifications

Shift: 3:30pm-12am Monday through Friday or 5:30pm-4am and 12pm-6pm on Saturdays

Pay: Up to $24/hr plus 7% shift premium

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) to support inspection and validation processes in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that components and finished products meet safety, functionality, and appearance standards through incoming, in-process, and final inspections. The ideal candidate has strong experience with precision measurement tools, blueprint reading, and quality systems, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and finished products
• Validate first piece inspections and ensure process compliance
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and dial indicators
• Utilize advanced inspection equipment such as laser tracking or video inspection systems when required
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials or defects and initiate corrective reports
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data to determine inspection methods and specifications
• Ensure all inspection tools are calibrated and maintain calibration records
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Collaborate with toolmakers and engineers to provide feedback and improve processes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, tool & die, or precision machining
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong math skills for dimensional calculations and tolerances
• Understanding of automotive quality standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) or ERP systems
• Authorization to work in the United States

Additional Qualifications

• Technical trade school certification preferred
• Familiarity with CAD data and advanced inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify root causes and recommend improvements
• Commitment to maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.
