Job summary

API Heat Transfer in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will learn and support the team’s continuous improvement efforts while performing inspection tasks on materials, components, and finished goods.

Responsibilities include recording data, reporting defects, and collaborating with Production and Engineering to address quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings, or willingness to learn.
• 1–2 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience.
• Comfortable using basic inspection tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products for compliance with specifications and requirements
• Record inspection data, test results, and audit documentation accurately and on time
• Report defects, quality concerns, and trends to the QA Manager
• Assist with investigations of quality issues and support corrective action follow-up
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to flag and resolve quality concerns
• Follow established quality procedures and help identify opportunities for process improvement
• Participate in daily and weekly QA meetings
• Support a positive, safe, and productive work environment
• Complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and on time
• Monitor lab and inspection supplies and report needs to the QA Manager
• Learn to use inspection tools, gauges, and quality software as part of on-the-job training

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical or quality field aplus


• 1–2 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience


• Ability to read engineering drawings, or willingness to learn


• Comfortable using basic inspection tools (calipers, gauges) or willingness to learn


• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel


• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn


• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with quality concepts (ISO 9001, Lean, root cause analysis) a plus, notrequired


• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
