Job summary

API Heat Transfer is seeking a Quality Inspector to help ensure products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will record data, report defects, and support continuous improvement with the QA Manager and cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in quality or inspection, familiarity with basic inspection tools, and Excel. On-the-job training will cover inspection tools and quality software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings or willingness to learn.
• Comfort using basic inspection tools and Excel basics.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork spirit.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products for compliance with specifications.
• Record inspection data, test results, and audit documentation accurately.
• Report defects and trends to the QA Manager and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to address quality concerns.
• Follow quality procedures and participate in daily/weekly QA meetings.
• Learn to use inspection tools and quality software during on-the-job training.

The Quality Inspector helps ensure that products and processes meet established quality standards,
regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while learning and supporting the team's
continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities will include:

• Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products for compliance withspecifications and requirements
• Record inspection data, test results, and audit documentation accurately and on time
• Report defects, quality concerns, and trends to the QA Manager
• Assist with investigations of quality issues and support corrective action follow-up
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to flag and resolve quality concerns
• Follow established quality procedures and help identify opportunities for processimprovement
• Participate in daily and weekly QA meetings
• Support a positive, safe, and productive work environment
• Complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and on time
• Monitor lab and inspection supplies and report needs to the QA Manager
• Learn to use inspection tools, gauges, and quality software as part of on-the-job training

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical or quality field aplus
• 1–2 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings, or willingness to learn
• Comfortable using basic inspection tools (calipers, gauges) or willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with quality concepts (ISO 9001, Lean, root cause analysis) a plus, notrequired
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
