Job description

Title: Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift
Type: Full-time, temp to hire
Salary: Up to $25 / hour
Shift: 2nd shift M-F (2:30pm - 11:30pm)
OT: Available during week and on Saturdays but is not required

Work Performed: Perform Receiving, 1st Piece and In-Process Inspections for work in process. Verify and document that materials are manufactured to customer-supplied blueprints. This position is responsible for maintaining acceptable quality levels during production.

Job Requirements:

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications (will be tested during interview).
• Measure and document part dimensions (will be tested during interview).
• Shop math proficiency (will be tested during interview).
• Maintain company quality systems.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Follow all company safety and operations policies.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of shop mathematics, trigonometry, and computers.
• Proficiency with micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, protractors, hardness testers and optical comparators.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Motivation to learn and develop with the business.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001 quality system.
