Job Description

Under minimal supervision, performs inspection duties related to all processes associated with receiving, fabricating, machining, assembling, and shipping materials, partially completed materials, sub-assemblies, and finished parts and products to customers. Uses manual, automated, electronic, and computer coordinate measuring devices, and records data for traceability. Calibrates, adjusts, and releases gauges and measuring instruments. Checks products and maintains inspection records. Assists in training employees in inspection and measuring techniques.

This is a 2nd Shift position; starting pay is $28.03/hour.

Job Responsibilities

1. Verify and document all internal manufacturing processes.
2. Record and analyze non-conforming materials and processes, recommending corrections.
3. Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished materials, maintaining accurate records.
4. Perform production layout and assist operators.
5. Maintain gauges, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
6. Operate overhead cranes and handle receiving duties.
7. Verify operator setups and first-piece production accuracy.
8. Inspect and disposition returned customer materials.
9. Process and maintain receiving documents in electronic databases.
10. Assist in training on statistical techniques and quality systems.
11. Perform gauge calibrations.
12. Follow ISO procedures.

Background & Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Pass Inspector Qualifications Assessment (blueprint reading, instrument reading, gage calibration).
• Ability to interpret ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of Dynamic Product Acceptance and SAP.
• Willing to work in a team environment.
• Must be local to Brooklyn/Cleveland, Ohio (within 50 miles).
