Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

Onsite – Gurnee, IL / Somers, WI / Manchester, TN

The Role:

The Quality Inspector ensures that finished products and raw materials meet quality control standards. This role collaborates with production, purchasing, and shipping departments.

What You Will Do:

1. Inspect the quality of raw materials and outsourced products requiring incoming inspection. Document defects and communicate issues to the supply chain to facilitate resolution.
2. Check the filling line before each production run to ensure:

• Previous packaging materials are removed
• The line is cleaned and validated if needed
• The correct packaging is used

Inspect finished products for:

• Fill weight
• Heat seal integrity
• Color and odor
• Lot number accuracy
• Application and removal torque
• General appearance
• Pallet configuration
• Other quality parameters

Document all quality control findings.

Review daily production batch records.

Archive production and quality documents.

Train production staff on quality procedures.

Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues of finished products.

Conduct detailed quality inspections for first runs of new products.

Compensation Range:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
