Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a Quality Inspector 2 to inspect components, assemblies, and finished goods onsite in Simi Valley. The role collaborates with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues, with a first shift (M–F, 5:00am–1:30pm) and potential schedule variations.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reading drawings, using calipers and gauges, and documenting results. Required are 2–5 years in QA inspection, ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and sketches (GD&T knowledge).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using test equipment and measuring devices as specified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections at various production stages to ensure conformance to specifications and standards.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools to verify parts.
• Document acceptance or rejection of items and maintain QA records.
• Lead internal audits and report design or process inefficiencies.

You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues. This is an onsite, first-shift role (M–F, 5:00am–1:30pm) with potential for variable schedules as needed.### Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team- Conduct examinations and quality control inspections at various stages of production to confirm conformance with specifications and quality standards- Perform routine visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies (soldered connections, wiring, sensors)- Use measuring and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque ranges, height gages, V-blocks, comparators) to verify parts- Participate in statistical process analysis to confirm compliance or identify deviations- Prepare and maintain documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected or tested items- Implement and maintain technical quality assurance procedures and follow up on corrective actions- Conduct internal audits and record results; identify and report design or process inefficiencies### Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role- 2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience- Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by the job assignment- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, diagrams, and sketches (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing knowledge)- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Ability to follow detailed job instructions and apply systematic quality assurance approaches- Familiarity with casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel and electronic components used in the aerospace industry- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and aerospace standards such as AS9100- Experience performing internal audits and documenting results### Here's What Else Might Help You Out- IPC inspection experience- First Article Inspection (Net Inspect) experience- SAP knowledge### Pay Range$20.80 - $26.00/hour### Ready to Make Your Mark?This role may fill quickly.
