Job summary

Miller Industries, located in Fenton, Michigan, seeks a Quality Inspector for the 1st Shift to inspect parts and assemblies to drawings and prints. You will initiate non-conformance reports and ensure units meet quality control procedures and customer requirements.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of quality inspection experience, with proficiency in hand inspection tools, and the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and tolerances.

Who We Want

Miller Industries is seeking a Quality Inspector for our 1 st Shift at our North Location in Fenton, Michigan. The 1st Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some overtime hours on weekends as needed for production.

What You Will Be Doing

• Inspecting parts, assemblies and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
• Initiating non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications.
• Assuring that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Initiating corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature.
• Completing, inspecting, and distributing all quality records and documents. Performing specialized testing as required.

What Requirements Are Needed

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED and 3 - 5 years of experience in quality inspection required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to use a variety of hand inspection tools to conduct inspections.
• Must be able to interpret manufacturing drawings and have a strong background in quality tolerances and dimensional inspection.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
• Computer skills are required.
