Job summary

Materion seeks a Quality Inspector I for our Tucson, AZ facility. You will inspect parts against visual and dimensional specs, read part prints, and ensure tolerance compliance to meet customer requirements. You will record measurements, run simple reports, and support production with priority on on-time quality.

First shift; Monday–Friday, 5:00 am–1:30 pm. The role requires meticulous data entry, teamwork with the production cell, and a commitment to preventing customer returns.

Quality Inspector I

The Quality Inspector I inspects parts to appropriate visual and dimensional customer specifications; shares responsibility for final quality to the customer; runs reports and understand the work cell priorities; works closely with production; and must be dedicated to "on time" results and committed to having no customer returns. This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ

1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm Schedule will be adjusted for training purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional inspections
• use sales orders to apply correct customer specifications or exceptions Read and understand part prints and tolerances, know the order of governing documents
• Use a variety of measuring and data recording equipment, including at least micrometers (various types and sizes), profilometer, and metallographic camera
• Prepare reports, calculate and record statistical data as needed to reflect quality status of products

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
