GOPS partners with KLA's global supply base and design engineering teams to develop new products, working continuously to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions.What You'll DoIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing semiconductor chemical metrology tools to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company quality standards. This role involves hands-on evaluation of complex electromechanical systems, including mechanical assemblies, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and microprocessor-based electrical controllers and wiring. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and experienced in identifying defects, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.Inspect, test, and evaluate incoming parts, subassemblies, and fully assembled semiconductor metrology tools.Identify mechanical defects including issues with pneumatic systems, hydraulics, fittings, valves, and mechanical assemblies.Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, including controllers, wiring harnesses, sensors, power supplies, and microprocessor-based control units.Verify compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and customer requirements.Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.Perform functional testing and verification of electrical and mechanical systems.Accept or reject materials and finished products based on inspection results.Clearly document inspection and test results; maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.Quarantine and manage nonconforming materials in accordance with quality procedures.Communicate inspection findings and corrective actions with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.Support supplier quality by managing incoming inspections, vendor quality communications, and returns.Track and report quality metrics including rejected material, failure trends, and vendor performance.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product reliability, quality, and inspection efficiency.Preferred Qualifications:Associate’s Degree (AS) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field required.Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.2–4 years of hands-on inspection, testing, or quality experience in a manufacturing or equipment-build environment.Experience as an electrical technician, production assembler, test technician, or quality inspector strongly preferred.Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and their failure modes.Comfortable working around high‑value semiconductor or precision manufacturing equipment.Proficient with measurement tools and inspection documentation.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and clear communication skills.Enjoys hands-on technical work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Minimum Qualifications2 years of related experienceAbout KLAWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
