At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Quality Inspector to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Under supervision, perform day-to-day 2D and receiving inspection duties by performing Quality Inspection tasks to determine, detail parts, subassemblies, assemblies/deliverables and purchased raw materials/hardware/parts meet purchase order and customer requirements.
- Candidate must have good attention to detail, as well as organization and communication skills; must be able to function as a Team Member and support team goals and objectives.
- Must maintain a neat, organized work area and practice good housekeeping.
- Must adhere to all safety and department procedures, practices, and directives.
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to perform basic math computations.
- General knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be a US person.
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Comfortable with using the current ERP system (SAP).
- Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings and 3D modeling, such as use of CATIA.
- Quality and/or aerospace experience.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
- Ability to transport objects up to 35 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel.
- Must be able to work all shifts as needed (1st and/or 2nd Shift).
- Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.
