Amphenol Industrial Operations in Endicott, NY is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet quality standards. You will review materials, perform measurements, run quality tests, and identify defects.

You will also review supplier paperwork to ensure compliance with customer requirements and collaborate with production and engineering on quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, drop gauges, and measuring microscope.
  • Able to read drawings/specifications and be able to interpret requirements.
  • Basic computer skills such as data entry.
  • Ability to classify defects based on failure criteria.
  • Audit production lines to ensure manufacturing process is stable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conforming products.
  • Report defects to relevant personnel.

  • Train production workers on quality standards and inspection techniques.
  • Conduct final inspection to ensure products meet all quality standards.
  • Cross train in production to fill in gaps
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area.

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the products being produced meet quality standards and specifications. The inspector will review products and material, measure objects compared to their physical specifications, run quality test and identify defects. The inspector is also responsible to review supplier paperwork such as certifications to ensure they are compliant to Customer requirements.

  • Experience in automated manufacturing and CNC Machining.
