  • Document inspection results accurately and generate scrap tags for defective items.
  • Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Purpose

Responsible for inspecting purchased parts, subassemblies or finished products according to defined criteria to ensure quality products are delivered to customers. The department is structured as a formal team and requires the ability to work within the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies and finished company products according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.

Rework, teardown or reject subassemblies or finished products as required.

Conduct document process and system audits using written procedures.

Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.

Review and generate scrap defective tags.

Problem solving.

Continuous improvement activities.

Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required.

One -Two years of manufacturing experience with an understanding of competencies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant. The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The work requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting and a variety of physical activities. Travel to customer locations as needed.
