Job summary

Metallized Carbon Corporation (Metcar) in Ossining, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and document results.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, reads blueprints, uses calipers/micrometers, and can work overtime as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, etc.)
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
• Identify non-conforming products and assist with corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures (ISO/AS standards as applicable)
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) as required
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Position Summary:

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Overtime required based on production needs
• We offer a generous compensation package, which includes competitive hourly up to $20.00 p/h D.O.E, Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, 401K, Vacation & sick/personal days and Life insurance. $250.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED; College degree a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing. Fast paced. Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
