Job summary

Intellisense Systems, Inc. in Torrance, CA, is seeking an experienced inspector to verify part quality through metrology tools and QA documentation. You will review drawings, record nonconforming materials, and support in-process inspections in a fast-growing aerospace and defense environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail, reliable communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team, often extending hours to meet deadlines. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years’ experience.
• Associate’s Degree or technical certification with 2+ years’ experience.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering requirements.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and circuit card assemblies.
• Experience recording non-conforming material.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization.
• Aerospace/manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiar with ISO 9000; AS9100 is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; flexible hours.
• Access to US Export Controlled Information; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawing(s) and inspect parts using metrology tools (pin & thread gauges, calipers, height gauges, etc).
• Review receiving documentation for accuracy and QA clause flow downs.
• Document receipt of material in MRP and QA system software database Tools.
• Document and photograph nonconforming parts with detailed rejection info.
• Report trend observations for repeated nonconforming material.
• Assist with in-process inspections as needed.
• Enter production build technical data package records into QA software database.
• Assist with inspecting and packaging material to be delivered to the customer.
• File, organize, scan and maintain all documents in network folders and archives.
• Duties may evolve; other responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawing(s) and inspect parts using metrology tools i.e., pin & thread gauges, calipers, and height gauges, etc.
• Review receiving documentation for accuracy and compliance to QA clause flow downs.
• Document receipt of material in MRP and QA system software database Tools.
• Document and take pictures of parts that are nonconforming with sufficient details of rejection.
• Report trend observations for repeated nonconforming material.
• Assist with in-process inspections as needed.
• Enter production build technical data package records into QA software database.
• Assist with inspecting and packaging material to be delivered to the customer.
• File, organize, scan and maintain all documents and relevant information in network folders and archives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 4+ years’ experience, Associate’s Degree or Certification in a technical field with 2+ years’ experience.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering requirements.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and circuit card assemblies.
• Experience in recording non-conforming material.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to multitask with strong organizational skills.
• Experience within aerospace and manufacturing companies a plus
• Working knowledge of ISO9000; AS9100 Quality Management System a plus
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Able to work extra hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
• This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information.
• US Citizenship is required.

Pay Range

$28 - $35 hour (Base pay for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience)
