Job summary

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Traveling Quality Inspector in Seguin, TX. This first-shift role runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a pay of $18.00 per hour. A valid driver's license and travel are required for this position.

The inspector will perform quality inspections, audits, and rework as needed to ensure conformance to specifications. Strong English communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English; excellent written and verbal communication.
• 1+ year in a quality-related position; basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
• Basic knowledge of quality control methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection and audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques.
• Contain non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Rectify non-conforming material by rework, sorting or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
• Use hand tools and processes (de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly/disassembly) as needed to fix issues.
• Determine tools and equipment needed to perform the job.
• Grind, sand, clean and oil parts/sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment.
• Communicate sort/inspection results to managers and production sources.
• Must use basic hand tools (gages, drills, taps, grinders, sanders) and company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgments.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

• The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

• The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
• Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
• Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
• Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
• Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.

Organization & Management

• Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.

Technical

• MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
