Job summary

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Traveling Quality Inspector in Seguin, TX. The position is on the 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

A valid driver’s license and travel are required for this role. The Quality Inspector will perform inspections, audits, and rework activities to ensure conformance to specifications, and will report results to Site Supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a Quality-related position.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for this role.

Responsibilities

• Act as an impartial third party between production and customer facilities to ensure product meets criteria.
• Perform quality inspections/audits on incoming material using hand gauges and visual checks.
• Rectify non-conforming material by rework, sorting or scrapping as directed.
• Determine tools and equipment needed to complete the job.
• Communicate inspection results to managers, supervisors and production.
• Utilize basic hand tools to repair/clean parts and sub-assemblies.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

• The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

• The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
• Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
• Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
• Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
• Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.

Organization & Management

• Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.

Technical

• MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
