Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience using various inspection tools.
• Certified or ability to certify to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-6.

Job description

TRC is seeking several experienced Quality Inspectors for one of our Aviation clients based out of San Jose, CA! This position is a long-term contract through December with the possibility of extension or conversion. 1st and 2nd shift available with plenty of opportunity for overtime!

Position: Quality Inspector - Electrical Type:

1. Execute daily inspections for receiving, in process and final inspections which include, but are not limited to, electrical components, electronic assemblies, and PCBs for defects or deviations from design specification.
2. Accurately and clearly document defects or nonconformances and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
3. Review completed manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with requirements.
4. Review and provide input for the establishment of an aircraft inspection plan which can include inspection and testing of harnesses.
5. Assist in the planning and process for company inspection which may include FAA conformity inspection to support the certification process.
6. Support the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans and SPC.

What you need:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Certified or ability to certify to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-6.
3. 5+ years’ hands-on experience using basic inspection tools such as microscopes, thread gauges, pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, height master and height gauge.
4. Experience with tolerance and drawing reviews including assessing the ability to verify dimensional requirements.
5. Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, blueprint drawings, and engineering specifications including mechanical and electrical symbols and conventions, key, critical, major and minor characteristics.
6. Experience completing AS9102 compliant first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection.
7. Experience with MES systems such as SAP and utilizing electronic inspection plans.
8. Understanding types of measurement and measurement terminology.
