Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Quality Inspector in Ridgeville, SC for first, second, and third shifts. The position entails inspecting automotive parts, capturing accurate inspection data, and maintaining detailed records to ensure all products meet strict standards.

Training will be provided as needed. Responsibilities include visual and dimensional checks, collaboration with production and engineering, and calibration of tools with strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings or inspection documents.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and devices.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of automotive parts to ensure quality and spec conformity.
  • Maintain records of inspection results and report non-conforming parts with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to address quality issues and drive improvements.
  • Calibrate inspection equipment regularly and follow PPE and safety protocols.
  • No experience required; training will be provided.

Location: Ridgeville, SC
Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour
Schedules Available: Monday - Friday
1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
3rd shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.

  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.

  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Job Duties

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of automotive parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, report non-conforming parts, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Perform routine calibration of inspection equipment and follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • No experience necessary; training will be provided!

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.

  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.

  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.

  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.

  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
