Job summary

Position Summary

Quality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet engineering drawings, purchase order requirements, and established quality standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform incoming visual and dimensional inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (CoC), material certifications, and supplier documentation.
• Verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, and material traceability.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Work with Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering to resolve inspection discrepancies.
• Follow established quality procedures and requirements.

• Perform in-process and final inspection as needed.

Experience and Knowledge:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
3. Experience using basic dimensional measuring instruments.
4. Basic understanding of tolerances and GD&T.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Basic computer skills and documentation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in aerospace or electronics manufacturing.
2. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
3. Experience with receiving inspection and supplier documentation.
