Magnetic Seal has an opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join ourteam! This opportunity will be located in Warren, Rhode Island.
PositionSummary
TheQualityInspectorperforms visual and dimensionalinspections on machined components utilized in the assembly of Aerospace andIndustrial seals. Using various handheld and benchtop measurement equipmentthis position ensures the compliance to both internal and customer dimensionalrequirements. The candidate will be responsible for generating and completingappropriate documentation such as dimensional inspection records, productionrouters, and non-conformance reports.
Essential Functions:
- Performs In-Process and Final inspection on machined parts (Dimensional& Visual)
- Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other customerand industry specifications
- Understands geometric symbols and tolerances
- Use of standard measurement gages such as calipers, micrometer, dropindicators, etc.
- Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products, andrecommends corrective actions
- Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems, andassists in identifying and correcting these problems
- Verify raw material lot number traceability
- Maintain well organized work space
- Understand verbal and written instruction
- Flexibility based on changing production/shipment demands
- Execute other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of related inspection experience.
- Prior experience in final inspection(visual and dimensional) is a plus!
- Prior experience in in theaerospace and/or medical industry is a plus!
- Must be a US citizen or a US permanent resident.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be local to the Rhode Island facility
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Communicate effectively with others both verbally and in written form
- Act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a workassignment
- Make decisions while following company procedures
- Attention to details
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity and conduct conforming to a set ofvalues and accepted standards
- Work and interact well with others
- Process work in an efficient and timely fashion
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blue prints) is aplus!
- Technical school is a plus!
- Prior related experience is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit or stand frequently.
- Able to walk occasionally.
- Able to handle and grasp tools repetitively.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 10 lbs. constantly.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to bend at waist, twist, squat and kneel/crouch frequently.
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.

Thisposition requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware, and candidatesmust be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control laws andregulation.
