Job summary

The QA Inspector position at Amcor involves completing and recording specified lab tests on production and signing off the first piece before prime production.

You will review work in process and finished goods to ensure they meet company requirements, and coordinate with the Quality Manager, other Quality team members, and customers to maintain high standards.

Expected duties include audits, training, and supporting investigations into customer complaints, with occasional overtime as needed.

  • Provide quality focus in meetings, trials, and problem-solving; accommodate overtime as needed.

Job Description

The QA Inspector is responsible for completing and recording all specified lab test on production. The QA Inspector will be responsible for 1st piece sign-off prior to production going into prime. Other responsibilities include: reviewing work in process and finish goods materials during the manufacturing process to make sure they meet company requirements; coordinate effective and efficient communication with the Quality Manager, other Quality and Amcor team members, and customers.

Position Responsibilities
  • Determine and verify product quality per customer expectations through conducting various pre-determined lab tests. Routinely audit production floor for safety, quality, and housekeeping issues.
  • Conduct pre-determined floor audits, reviewing work in process, the finished goods staging area, and the hold area.
  • Train production employees on film physical property testing; maintain testing equipment, calibration records, coordinate with test equipment repairs vendors, work with Synergy for COA back-up.
  • Help with the investigation of customer complaints, from records review, film analysis, and root cause determination.
  • Professionally provide a Quality focus in staff activities, scheduling meetings, trials, process problems, etc.
  • Additional occasional off-shift and overtime support required.
