Job summary

Amcor is seeking a quality control professional to perform inspections, tests, and measurements during production. You will record observations and may suggest process improvements, ensuring compliance with ISO and GMP standards and maintaining safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with some related experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a 12-hour night shift at a Texas facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
  • Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The employee must demonstrate the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
  • Ability to operate all lab equipment.
  • Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, digital indicator and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and support all Company safety, ISO and GMP policies
  • Conduct Elmendorf tear tests as needed
  • Conduct dart drop tests as required
  • Gauge film using Measure Tech as required
  • Perform quality checks on all lines and take appropriate action on non-conforming product
  • Report non-conformances to Lead Quality Auditor and/or Shift Supervisor
  • Fill in for Lead Quality Auditor as requested
  • Maintain housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by the Lead Quality Auditor or Quality Manager.
  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours night shift.

Key Job Accountabilities
