As an innovative and forward-thinking organization, we are committed to continuous technological advancement and process improvement.Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform inspection and quality verification of incoming raw materials, components, and outsourced processes for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all received items meet engineering requirements, purchase order specifications, and quality standards before being released to production. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods, and is comfortable working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection on incoming raw materials, components, and finished or semi-finished partsVerify conformance to purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirementsConduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.)Apply AQL and sampling plans as required for incoming inspectionReview certifications, material test reports, and supplier documentation for accuracy and complianceIdentify, document, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with SOPsGenerate and maintain inspection records, inspection reports, and nonconformance documentationCommunicate quality issues with internal teams (Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Production) to support timely resolutionAssist Quality Management with root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to supplier issuesEnsure compliance with internal quality systems, ISO standards, and applicable customer or military specificationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to incoming quality and supplier performanceQualificationsMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in a quality inspection or receiving inspection role within a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of computer-based and electronic systems, with the ability to navigate, input, and manage data within digital quality management systems (QMS)Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principlesExperience using precision measurement and inspection toolsFamiliarity with AQL sampling methods and inspection plansKnowledge of ISO 9001 and/or other regulated quality systems; military or defense standards a plusComfortable working with inspection records, databases, and basic computer applicationsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively across departments and with suppliers as neededDependable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high quality standardsPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:This position is based in a manufacturing environment and may require the following over extended periods of time up to a full 8-hour work shift (excluding lunch and breaks): stand, walk, sit, squat or bend, kneel and rise, lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to — and occasionally exceeding — 50 pounds, view a computer or other digital screen, work on a computer, workstation or comparable system, and make accurate entries in such systems. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are required for detailed assembly and precision work. Work may take place in areas with varying temperatures or no climate control, varying noise levels, and production equipment in motion. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas at all times as required by company policy.
