Job summary

Greenworks is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products and incoming materials meet our quality standards. You will use testing equipment, audit procedures, and maintain documentation to drive continuous improvement on the production line.

Requirements include a HS Diploma/GED and 2+ years in manufacturing with a focus on quality. Strong communication and basic electronics/machinery knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience required (1+ year in quality preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and machinery, and ability to interpret specs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Understand function of instruments and quality standards for materials and end products.
  • Utilize instruments to perform quality assurance tests.
  • Ensure production follows Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Audit and monitor quality requirements per company specs.
  • Perform daily maintenance of test equipment and tools.
  • Document and report test results and nonconformances.
  • Maintain data accuracy in reports and identify root causes.
  • Follow up corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Improve test tooling to enhance accuracy.
  • Comply with safety practices and company policies.

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the product produced meets our company quality standards by utilizing a variety of testing equipment. This role will also inspect incoming materials from our suppliers to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. This role will also work with the production team to ensure all parts and products meet quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand the function of instrument use and the quality standards for incoming materials, internal materials, and end of line products.
  • Utilize various instruments to perform quality assurance tests.
  • Ensure that production team is following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company specifications.
  • Perform daily maintenance of test equipment and tools.
  • Document and report test results. Monitor any nonconformances and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain data accuracy in reports.
  • Identify issues and research root causes.
  • Follow up the corrective actions and verify if it’s effective.
  • Conditionally improve the test tooling instruments and improve the accuracy of the quality tests.
  • Complies with established policies and safety practices.
  • Performs all other duties as required.
Required Education and Experience
  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience required. (1 or more years in quality preferred)
  • Have basic knowledge of electronics and machinery, be able to understand the basic operation and principles of testing have the ability to apply knowledge to new products.
  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications and part prints.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
