Job summary

Alloy Precision Technologies is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:15pm–1:45am) with overtime on Fri/Sat and a 10% shift premium. Inspect manufactured components and welded assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications, using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height stands, and other measuring devices.

You will review results with cross‑functional teams, investigate non-conformances, and contribute to corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and related standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and QA documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with RCCA and 5-Why/8-D problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect manufactured parts and welded assemblies to drawings and specs.
  • Use CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height stands and gauges for inspections.
  • Review inspection results with cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate and report causes of non-conformances.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in calibration program and QA audits.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain records.

Assist in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**Inspect manufactured parts and welded assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.Use a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment to perform inspections (Such as Micrometers, calipers, Height stands, Comparator, and other equipment)Review inspection results with a cross functional team that may consist of engineers, production, and managers.Investigate and report causes of dimensional and process non-conformances.Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve product and / or process quality.Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.Conduct audits of manufacturing and assembly processesInspect incoming materials and components.Prepare detailed reports of findings.Keep abreast of new technology and developments in the aerospace industry.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Inspecting work orders and other documentation to ensure that all procedures have been followed correctly.Assist in the upkeep of the Calibration program.Other duties as required**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.**REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:**High school diploma or equivalent5+ years quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (or equivalent)Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant statutory or regulatory quality standardsUnderstanding of RCCA and problem-solving tool such as 5-why, 8-D, Fishbone diagrams.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsMust be able to work in a team environment.Excellent attention to detail**PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**Working Knowledge of PPAP reports and First article inspections.Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)PCDMIS Experience**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**Vision corrected to 20/25Color vision: average to normalNormal dexterity**PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:**While on the shop floor, you must wear safety glasses.Machines & technologies you'll use:Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)Measurement GaugesCalipers and Micrometers
