Job summary

Nextern in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team and help ensure the quality of medical device components through incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

You’ll work with measurement tools and support quality investigations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and detail matter.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months in medical device manufacturing – ideally 1+ year.

Responsibilities

• Support and perform inspection and testing of materials and products from incoming material through final assembly, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and/or functional inspections of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and applicable quality standards.
• Perform duties with minimal to moderate supervision.
• Utilize measurement tools to verify physical dimensions and product attributes.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Complete quality records, reports, and documentation in accordance with GDP.
• Apply and follow established sampling plans.
• Participate in problem‑solving activities for continuous improvement.
• Provide data and support to cross‑functional teams as needed.

Wage: $22.00-$25.00 hourly

NPX is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team! In this hands‑on role, you’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of medical device components by performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections throughout the manufacturing process.

You’ll work with a variety of inspection and measurement tools, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and support quality investigations and continuous improvement efforts. QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and perform inspection and testing of materials and products from incoming material through final assembly, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and/or functional inspections of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and applicable quality standards
• Perform duties with minimal to moderate supervision
• Utilize measurement tools and equipment (e.g., pin gages, calipers, MicroVu, laser micrometers, pull testers) to verify physical dimensions and product attributes
• Verify that all measurement equipment is within current calibration status
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials
• Complete quality records, reports, and documentation in accordance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
• Apply and follow established sampling plans
• Participate in problem‑solving activities and contribute to process and product evaluations for continuous improvement
• Provide data, analysis, and support to cross‑functional teams as needed
• Support site objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory
• Achieve assigned goals and performance objectives
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
