Job summary

Jobot in Chatsworth, CA, is seeking a Quality Inspector with aerospace background for day and swing shifts. $27–$32/hour with a $2.00 shift differential. The role requires reading blueprints with GD&T, AS9100 knowledge, and experience with precision inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Experience performing dimensional/visual inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints with GD&T proficiency.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators and related precision instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications per ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Verify product conformity to AS9100, ISO, customer, and regulatory quality standards.
• Complete inspection records, traceability documentation, range forms, and FAIRs.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation activities.
• Identify and document nonconforming conditions; collaborate with Production and Engineering on containment and corrective action.
• Participate in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audits, customer visits, and quality system compliance activities.
• Mentor and guide junior inspectors as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and related precision instruments

What You Bring

• Quality inspection experience in aerospace, precision machining, or manufacturing
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints with GD&T proficiency
• Working knowledge of AS9100
• Experience with a range of inspection devices including height gauges, surface plates, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Experience in dimensional inspection, receiving inspection, visual inspection, and/or first article
