Qualifications

  • Proficient with precision measuring tools.
  • Able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Utilize inspection tools such as micrometers, digital calipers, taper gauges, and angle finders.
  • Assist with packaging and wrapping finished goods per customer requirements.
  • Hand-stack material coming off press machines as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and follow housekeeping standards.
  • Operate and use hand tools during production and packaging (banders, crimpers).
  • Support production, storage, and distribution activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Title: Quality Inspector

Wage: $20.00-$21.00/hour

Shift: 2nd, Training on 1st

Hours: 2nd 3:15pm-11:45pm, 1st 7:00am-3:30pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Quality Inspector for a facility in Kansas City, MO that specializes in steel and aluminum coil blanking for the automotive stamping industry. Candidates should have manufacturing or inspection experience, preferably in metal stamping, steel, or automotive environments, along with experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, taper gauges, angle finders, and digital calipers. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to multitask, work independently, and collaborate within a team. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed are required. This is a potential to hire role on 2nd shift.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform quality inspections of finished products to ensure work instructions and customer specifications are followed
  • Utilize inspection and measuring tools, including micrometers, taper gauges, angle finders, digital calipers, and related equipment
  • Assist with packaging and wrapping finished goods according to customer requirements
  • Hand-stack material coming off press machines
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by removing debris and following housekeeping standards
  • Continuously use hand tools such as banders and crimpers during production and packaging operations
  • Support production, storage, and distribution activities as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Quality Inspector Requirements:
  • Manufacturing and/or inspection experience preferred, especially in metal stamping, steel, or automotive environments
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools such as micrometers, taper gauges, angle finders, and digital calipers preferred
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning as part of a team
  • Self-starter with strong motivation and attention to detail
  • Must adhere to company attendance policy
  • Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, overtime, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
