Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Quality Inspector for a facility in Kansas City, MO that specializes in steel and aluminum coil blanking for the automotive stamping industry. This role requires manufacturing or inspection experience and familiarity with precision measuring tools.

The position offers a wage of $20.00-$21.00/hour with 2nd shift and training on the 1st shift. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, work overtime and weekends as needed, and collaborate within a team.

Qualifications

Experience in metal stamping or automotive environments preferred.
Proficient with precision measuring tools.
Able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with work instructions and customer specifications.
Utilize inspection tools such as micrometers, digital calipers, taper gauges, and angle finders.
Assist with packaging and wrapping finished goods per customer requirements.
Hand-stack material coming off press machines as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and follow housekeeping standards.
Operate and use hand tools during production and packaging (banders, crimpers).
Support production, storage, and distribution activities as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
