Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Irvine, CA is seeking a Level I Quality Inspector to perform basic mechanical inspections in the Final Inspection Area under supervision. You will apply shop math, print reading and measuring tools to maintain quality reporting and product integrity.

Job Description

Position Summary: Working under direct supervision, level one quality Inspectors preform basic inspections tasks relating to mechanical testing in Final Inspection Area. This position calls upon a basic understanding of shop math, print reading, measuring tools, product segregation, and quality reporting. 0-1 Years

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adheres to quality processes and work instructions
  • Correctly interpret work orders
  • Perform Mechanical Inspection Tests (shear, tensile, spindle retention and disassembly testing)
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Participation in Round Robin and Proficiency Testing.
  • Ensures tools / equipment meet standards and calibration requirements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • The ability to read and write English.
  • The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals...
  • The ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
  • The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and access instruction from intranet.
  • Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as business needs demand
  • Typically 0-1 Years of Experience
  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Schedule: 1st Shift Wednesday - Sunday

  • For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.50 to $29.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
  • For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter.
  • Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
  • Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
  • Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
