Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a level one Quality Inspector to perform basic mechanical inspections in the Final Inspection Area under direct supervision. You will need a basic understanding of shop math, print reading, measuring tools, product segregation and quality reporting.

Schedule: 1st Shift, Wednesday through Sunday. PCC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Read and write English.
• Perform basic shop math (fractions, decimals).
• Use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
• Navigate intranet to locate process documents.
• Read and interpret work instructions from intranet.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work safely under PPE and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to quality processes and work instructions.
• Interpret work orders correctly.
• Perform Mechanical Inspection Tests (shear, tensile, spindle retention, disassembly).
• Collaborate in a team environment and assist others as needed.
• Participate in Round Robin and Proficiency Testing.
• Ensure tools/equipment meet standards and calibration requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary:

Working under direct supervision, level one quality Inspectors preform basic inspections tasks relating to mechanical testing in Final Inspection Area. This position calls upon a basic understanding of shop math, print reading, measuring tools, product segregation, and quality reporting. 0-1 Years

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adheres to quality processes and work instructions
• Correctly interpret work orders
• Perform Mechanical Inspection Tests (shear, tensile, spindle retention and disassembly testing)
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Participation in Round Robin and Proficiency Testing.
• Ensures tools / equipment meet standards and calibration requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Pay & Benefits

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.50 to $29.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
