Job summary

Lippert Components, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector in the United States to perform final product inspections and ensure compliance with specifications before shipment.

You will generate data spreadsheets, coordinate with production, and help drive quality improvements in a busy manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to detail, basic data handling skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and ensure safe, quality shipments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • 6 months or more of attention to detail oriented work.
  • Manufacturing/industry experience preferred.
  • Quality inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections of all products to assure they meet established specifications prior to shipment using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, and vision systems.
  • Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
  • Interact with department management, production and other inspectors as needed; daily communication with supervisor and operators on potential defects.
  • Test incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Send bad product back to production to be fixed before shipment.
  • Help pack products into shipping containers as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by achieving quality and timely results.
  • Work with Quality Supervisor and production team to develop more efficient processes and higher quality standards.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production and your reporting Manager. Typical hours for this position are as follows: Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm, with possible overtime opportunities.

No travel is required for this position.


Required Education and Experience


  1. Minimum of a high school education.

  2. 6 months or more of attention to detail oriented work.


Preferred Education and Experience


  1. Manufacturing/industry experience.

  2. Quality inspection experience.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
