Job summary

Lippert, a global manufacturer in Indiana, seeks a Quality Operations specialist to ensure products meet customer quality and delivery requirements. You will monitor processes, investigate issues, and report findings to drive corrective actions across divisional operations.

The role emphasizes escalation of nonconformances, collaboration with production and engineering, and adherence to safety policies, with a full-time weekend schedule and travel to Northern Indiana plants.

Summary/Objective

Responsible for quality operations in divisional areas to ensure production lines produce a product that meets customer quality and delivery requirements. This includes but are not limited to: Measuring process performance, investigation, and reporting in support of manufacturing operations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to walk large distances (in all local weather conditions) to retrieve/return components is a must.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. This position is a weekend shift Friday-Sunday!

Travel

Travel to plants in Northern Indiana.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Basic computer knowledge.
3. Problem solving skills.
4. Critical thinking skills.
5. Basic knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; D365 and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.
6. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Previous quality management experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
2. College degree is preferred
3. Leadership

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Proven quality assurance and auditing experience in a similar industry preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills preferred.
