Job description

A manufacturing company in Glastonbury is seeking a detail-oriented manufacturing Quality Inspector to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a quality department at a manufacturing facility. Proficiency in using precision measurement gauges such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and verniers is required. The ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential, and knowledge of GD&T is preferred. This position offers 1st or 2nd shift opportunities, is full-time, with competitive pay and benefits.

Salary and Work Schedule

• Salary: $58,500 - $72,800 per year
• Shift: First
• Work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
• Education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

1. Use a variety of inspection tools and equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, OHM meter, impedance meter, borescope, etc.).
2. Read, interpret, and follow complex drawings, work orders, and specifications.
3. Inspect aerospace products to ensure they meet quality standards.
4. Create and maintain detailed records of inspections and tests.
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure product quality and safety.
6. Stay updated with industry standards and regulations.
7. Inspect for proper identity and dimensions, visually check for defects or damage.
8. Read and understand blueprint drawings.
9. Apply thorough knowledge of GD&T.
