Job summary

TE Connectivity’s Receiving Inspection lab ensures only conforming components enter the facility and drives in-process inspection for key product lines. The role demands attention to detail, continuous learning, strong work ethic and daily collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Candidates should be proficient with CMMs and optical comparators, have at least 1 year in manufacturing, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with standard dimensional gauges (caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, comparator).
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient with CMM, Vision Systems, Digital Optical Comparator and other advanced measurement equipment.
  • Proven effective contributor in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize precision inspection equipment to qualify/verify product.
  • Complete quality records with Good Documentation Practices.
  • Familiar with ERP system (e.g., SAP).
  • Evaluate nonconforming material and provide input on condition.
  • Know first article inspection requirements per AS9102.
  • Enter data to monitor quality/performance trends.
  • Review documentation and verify dimensions on received materials.
  • Perform product inspections on the production floor.
  • Assist in programming inspection equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process inspection requests promptly.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Receiving Inspection lab is responsible for ensuring only conforming components are received into the facility. In addition, the lab owns the in-process inspection function for many of the facilities high profile product lines. The tools utilized by lab personnel require technical skill and precise operation to verify incoming goods before moving to inventory for the kitting process. An Inspector in the Receiving Lab will need to display attention for detail, have a willingness to continuously learn, exhibit excellent work ethic, and strive to share in positive team interactions every day.

Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize precision inspection equipment to qualify/verify product.
  • Understanding the importance of Good Documentation Practices, complete Quality records accurately and legibly and file appropriately.
  • Be familiar with, and utilize, the organizations ERP system (i.e., SAP).
  • Evaluate nonconforming material to provide input regarding condition.
  • Be familiar with first article inspection requirements per AS9102.
  • Perform data entry to support monitoring of quality/performance trends.
  • Perform documentation review and dimension verification on received materials.
  • Perform product inspections on the production floor.
  • Assist in programing inspection equipment as required.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to process inspection requests in a timely manner.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,700 – 50,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
