Job summary

Flowtec Group in Northern New Jersey seeks a Quality Inspector for industrial equipment manufacturing. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assemblies.

Role requires CMM programming experience, blueprint reading and GD&T, and ISO 9001 quality system familiarity. The team collaborates with machinists and engineers in a streamlined shop environment with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality inspection in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
• CMM experience; programming strongly preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency.
• Hands-on with precision measurement instruments.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems; military or government spec experience a plus.
• Pump or rotating equipment component experience preferred.
• Comfortable in a machine shop environment.
• Up to $40/hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assemblies.
• Dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicators.
• Program and operate CMM equipment for complex part verification.
• Complete first article inspections on new and repaired components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Maintain inspection records within the ISO quality system.
• Write non-conformance reports and support root cause and corrective action; Support government source inspections and customer audits.
• Maintain the gauge calibration program.
• Work with machinists, assemblers, and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Support disposition of non-conforming material.
• Perform receiving inspection on supplier parts.

This Quality Inspector role covers incoming, in-process, and final inspection across machining, assembly, and repair operations, with excellent work-life balance in a streamlined environment. Onsite in Northern New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assemblies
