Flowly Solutions in Davis, CA is hiring a meticulous Quality Inspector to join our growing team. You will perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of small components using optical microscopes and precision magnification equipment, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and documenting results.

The position offers a 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM weekday schedule, pay $20–$24 per hour, and benefits including health, dental, and vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off and company holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of small components using optical microscopes, stereomicroscopes, and precision magnification equipment.
• Examine parts for cosmetic defects, burrs, micro-cracks, surface irregularities, and non-conformances.
• Log inspection results in quality records and non-conformance reports.
• Identify and segregate defective materials to prevent entry into production or shipping.
• Collaborate with assembly technicians and quality engineers to troubleshoot defects and improve yield.
• Maintain a clean, organized inspection workspace per safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of small components using optical microscopes, stereomicroscopes, and precision magnification equipment.
• Examine parts for fine cosmetic defects, burrs, micro-cracks, surface irregularities, and structural non-conformances.
• Utilize specialized measuring tools, such as optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges—to verify tight tolerance measurements against blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Log inspection results accurately in quality control records and non-conformance reports.
• Identify, segregate, and tag defective or out-of-spec materials to prevent them from entering production or shipping channels.
• Work collaboratively with assembly technicians and quality engineers to troubleshoot recurring defects and ensure high yield rates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly calibrated inspection workspace according to safety and quality management standards.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 - 2 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably within electronics, medical device, micro-assembly, or precision manufacturing settings.
• Proven hands-on experience utilizing optical microscopes or high-magnification vision systems for prolonged detailed inspection tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and strict quality specifications.
• Experience operating precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators).
• Strong fine-motor skills, excelente hand-eye coordination, and exceptional visual acuity with high patience for repetitive micro-inspection work.
• Basic computer proficiency for logging inspection data and completing electronic quality logs.
• Dependable transportation to guarantee consistent daily attendance.
• Physical capability to sit for extended periods while operating microscopic equipment and comfortably lift up to 30 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
