Job description

Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity at an established manufacturing company in Cheshire, CT! We are seeking a Quality Inspector for a US-based manufacturer of precision Swiss-Style turned parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection within a machining or screw machine environment. Proficiency with mechanical gauges and comparators is required. Ability to read blueprints is essential. CMM and/or optical equipment experience (e.g., PC-DMIS) is a plus.

Work Details

• Hours: 5am - 3pm, Monday - Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays
• Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts using mechanical gauges, comparators, and CMM/optical equipment
• Draw inspection samples from CNC machines and clean samples
• Perform first article and setup inspections
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Track calibration using Gage Trak
• Ensure quality standards are met in a machining environment

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in machining or screw machines
• Proficient with mechanical gauging, comparators, and geometric tolerancing
• Experience with CMM and optical measurement tools (PC-DMIS) is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and perform first article inspections
• Proficient in Excel is a plus
